<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component securing and maintaining a sufficient insulating strength, and reduced in size, height, and coil winding work efficiency. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the coil component, a tape piece 1c provided with a structure having adhesive surfaces 1b on both surfaces is used, and the adhesive surface 1b on the back surface is previously bonded to a part of an insulating coat to which an external stress is easily impressed during wire winding work, such as a part to be wound by a secondary winding 5 and desired to be protected. Next, the secondary winding 5 is wound, and then a substantive half of the tape piece 1c is folded such that the adhesive surface 1b on the front face and the secondary winding 5 are bonded.
