PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink tank, an ink supply system and an ink supply method, where the full ink state of the ink tank is detected by reducing an influence resulting from types of ink. SOLUTION: The ink tank 100 is constituted so that the ink is supplied from an ink supply part 10 connected through a supply path 36 to a head tank 35 that is directly connected to a liquid droplet ejection head 34. The ink tank 100 includes: a first ink detecting means 216 disposed in the ink storage part 201 of the head tank 35, for detecting the full ink state; and a second ink detecting means 132 disposed in an atmospheric open part 203 communicating with the ink storage part 201 through a communication path 206, and disposed above the ink storage part 201.
