PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiring inspection device and wiring inspection method capable of preventing a wrong wiring (erroneous connection) between a location where a device (operation unit) is installed and a control device. SOLUTION: In an automatic photograph making device, a plurality of strobes (operation units) are connected to each port of strobe drivers that serve as control devices. An electronic tag is attached to each location where each strobe is installed and an ID for identifying the installation location is written to each electronic tag. After brightness setting is performed to the strobe (step S300), the ID written to the electronic tag of the location where the strobe is installed is obtained (step S310). Based on the ID, it is inspected whether the strobe connected to the port of the strobe driver is installed in the proper position (step S320).
