PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system that has high job efficiency without delaying the subsequent supply of sheet of paper in order to obtain a longer post-processing for the previous set of sheets of paper when executing a plurality of double-sided image formation jobs. SOLUTION: As a result of determinations made by a condition determining section, a paper feed delay necessity determining section, and a retraction allowance determining section, paper P4 is guided and evacuated to a right side paper ejection conveyance path 39, the paper P4 being a first sheet of paper of a second set of sheets of paper subjected to image formation on both its sides and conveyed to a first paper ejection roller 34 via a first paper conveying path 31. On the other hand, paper P5 is evacuated to a double-sided conveyance path 36, the paper P5 being a second sheet of paper of a second set of sheets of paper subjected to image formation on both its sides and conveyed to the first paper ejection roller via the first paper conveyance path 31. These first and the second sheets of paper P4 and P5 are superposed on paper P6, and these three sheets can be simultaneously ejected, the paper P6 being the third sheet of paper of the second set of sheets of paper ejected to a post-processing device by the first paper ejection roller 34 via the first paper conveyance path 31 after image formation on both the sides.
