<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reduce a burden and to easily optimize print setting, by setting a value of the second set item to a new set value by a changed item and a value thereof, when a value of the first set item is changed. <P>SOLUTION: A printer driver determines whether a set value has been changed (step S9), when printing is not indicated to be executed by a user. The printer driver acquires link information (step S11), when the set value is changed, and compares an up-to-date set value stored in a storage area with a link information set value (step S12). The set value after changed is stored into a RAM (step S16), when both are not equal in a comparison result and when the set value is determined not to be selected by the user.
