PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the quality of image data printed by an apparatus on the reception side is not confirmed by a transmitter. SOLUTION: An image communication apparatus includes an image data reception means 601 that receives image data from another image communication apparatus, which is a terminal of the transmitter, a storage means 602 that stores received image data, and an output means 606 that outputs stored image data. It also includes a reading means 608 that reads the output image data, a difference extraction means 607 that extracts a difference between the read image data and the stored image data, a difference determination means 609 that determines whether the extracted difference satisfies a predetermined condition stored in advance, and a control means to cause message transmission to the terminal of the transmitter based on the result of the determination of the difference determination means.
