<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone apparatus that executes telephone connection or facsimile connection without detecting a CNG signal by outgoing call number verification when an incoming call is received so as to execute the CNG signal detection of only an outgoing call number requiring the CNG signal detection. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The telephone apparatus includes an incoming-call-type analyzing means F44, which verifies an outgoing call number received by an outgoing call number receiving means F41 with a telephone number and an incoming call type stored by a telephone-number storage means F54, and an incoming-call processing control means F46 that executes telephone connection or facsimile connection on the basis of the verification results of the incoming call type analyzing means F44. The telephone apparatus is configured such that the telephone connection or the facsimile connection is executed without detecting the CNG signal to a specific telephone number while the CNG signal is detected to only telephone numbers requiring the CNG signal detection, thereby achieving the reduction in connection time and the prevention of erroneous connection.
