<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device, a light uniformizing device, a backlight unit and a display apparatus, eliminating color variation and emitting a surface light with uniform intensity by controlling emission angles of lights emitted from a plurality of spot light sources so that the emission lights are effectively emitted to a front direction. <P>SOLUTION: The display apparatus 70 includes: an optical device 24 formed of spot light sources 41 each having an intensity peak at an angle of θ with respect to an observer side and a light deflection lens 1 having a light deflection function in a two-dimensional direction; or a light uniformizing device 25 with a diffusion base material 26 on a light emission surface side of the optical device 24.
