PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new metal complex compound that has excellent characteristics such as conductivity or luminescent property and stability as an organic electronic material. SOLUTION: The mononuclear complex compound and a binuclear complex are represented by formula I (wherein Rs are each independently hydrogen, 1C-18C alkyl or aryl; R's are each independently hydrogen, hydroxy, 1C-8C alkyl, 1C-8C alkoxy or aryl; M is a divalent or trivalent transition metal cation) and formula II (Rs are each independently hydrogen, 1C-18C alkyl or aryl; R's are each independently hydrogen, hydroxy, 1C-8C alkyl, 1C-8C alkoxy or aryl; M is a bivalent or trivalent transition metal cation), respectively and a compound as a ligand thereof. The methods for producing the mononuclear complex compound and the binuclear complex compound represented by formula I and formula II are provided.
