<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control fluctuation of sound volume of hinge-clicking sound in mass-production of a folding type mobile data terminal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the folding type mobile data terminal having a display section side case 2, an operation section side case 4, and a hinge 5 for connecting the two cases at an opening and closing-free state, the display section side case 2 has a hinge receiving hole 8 for receiving one end side of the hinge 5, and the operation section side case 4 has a hinge receiving hole 11 for receiving the other end side of the hinge 5. The hinge 5 generates a clicking sound when both cases are opened and closed. A clearance between a side face 11a of the hinge receiving hole 11 and the hinge 5 is changed to narrow from an inlet to an outlet of the hinge receiving hole 11.
