PURPOSE: An external memory playing method and an audio device thereof are provided to enable a user to continuously listen to a sound source during loading time by playing a sound source to which a search is completed after stopping the play of a sound source currently playing. CONSTITUTION: An external memory playing method and an audio device thereof includes an external memory recognition part(101), an interface part, a sound source searching part(104), and a sound source playing part(105). The external memory recognition part recognizes the external memory inserted during the play of a sound source. The interface part displays a sound source stored in the external memory with currently playing sound source when the external memory is recognized. The sound source searching part searches the sound source saved in the external memory among displayed sound sources. The sound source playing part plays a sound source to which a search is completed after stopping a currently playing sound source when a search is completed.
