<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent thermal influence of a fixing apparatus to an intermediate transfer belt by making heat transmission from the fixing apparatus to the intermediate transfer belt to be small. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a plurality of photoreceptors 100Y, 100C, 100M and 100K, an endless intermediate transfer belt 200 carrying out image formation and a fixing apparatus 800 carrying out fixing of material to be transferred transferred with the image, a heat pipe 910 installed between the fixing apparatus and the intermediate transfer belt and transferring the heat of the fixing apparatus 800 from the vicinity of the intermediate transfer belt 200, an ejected paper cooling apparatus 950 cooling the fixed material 400 to be transferred and a heat discharging part 920 discharging the heat from the fixing apparatus 800 and the heat from the material 400 to be transferred. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
