<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment which prevents an execution speed of a control part from being reduced, while reducing current consumed by an internal storing part. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electronic equipment includes: a nonvolatile memory 3 for storing software, a video/sound control part 6 for executing the software, a camera module 4 controlled on the basis of the software executed by the video/sound control part 6, an internal storage part 11 which consumes current in storage operation and has a reading speed higher than that of the memory 3, and a detecting part for detecting whether a storage medium 12 is mounted or not. The video/sound control part 6 uses the software stored in the memory 3 to control the camera module 4 when the detecting part does not detect the storage medium 12, and loads the software to the internal storage part 11 to control the camera module 4 when the detecting part detects the storage medium 12.
