PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat die rolling machine, in which, even under operational conditions of such a comparatively short cycle time as about 20 sec or below, the synchronous accuracy of a pair of flat dies arranged on a pair of sliding tables is not deteriorated, and an accurate synchronous operation is enabled so that machining accuracy of a work is improved and particularly the accumulated pitch error of an involute is made small. SOLUTION: The flat die rolling machine has a control means which is operated as follows: the present positions of each siding table are detected by sensors, which are arranged on each sliding table and detect the positions of a pair of flat dies respectively; from the detected present positions, the amount of deviation of the flat dies from the relation of the point-symmetric positions relative to the axis of a work to be form-rolled is calculated, and a correction amount is determined; the relative engagement phase of a forth gear 22, which is coaxial with an idler gear 21, and a second gear 17 is changed by driving a second servomotor 24 based on the correction amount to vertically move an idler shaft 20; and the pair of flat dies are corrected so as to be positioned point-symmetrically in relation to the axis of a work to be form-rolled.
