The method involves determining an evaluation parameter that is partially regulated from actuation of an actuation element by an operator. A classification of the evaluation parameter is accomplished, and three predetermined situation conditioned classes are determined by the classification of the evaluation parameter. Braking pressure is controlled in a wheel brake circuit for holding a motor-cycle (1) depending on the situation conditioned classes. The classification of the evaluation parameter is performed under an application of fuzzy logic. An independent claim is also included for a device for detecting driving desire of a driver of a motor vehicle and performing a brake pressure control, comprising an evaluation parameter determining unit.
