<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cartridge which suppresses deterioration in power generation performance caused by long-term use, while holding down the manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell 1 includes a power generating part 10 and the fuel cartridge 2 comprising a fuel tank 11 and a fuel evaporating part 12. The power generating part 10 has constitution interposing an assembly 18 between a cell plate 14 and a cell plate 21. The assembly 18 is formed by oppositely arranging an anode 15 and a cathode 17 through an electrolyte membrane 16. Since the fuel cartridge 2 is capable of attaching to, or removing from the power generating part 10, the fuel evaporating part 12 can be replaced, when the fuel cartridge 2 is replaced.
