<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator in which an ozone generator is installed in a stable state by promoting elimination of residual pesticides of vegetables received in a heat-retention compartment, and efficiently generating ozone, in the refrigerator comprising a refrigerating compartment cooled by a direct cooling system, a freezing compartment cooled by an indirect cooling system, and the other heat-retention compartment. <P>SOLUTION: The cold air discharged from a discharge port 35 flows on a cover 72 covering a heat-retention case 32, and the ozone generated by the ozone generator 70 disposed on a partitioning plate 9, is included in the cold air and flows to the heat-retention case 32 from a cover hole 71, thus the elimination of residual pesticides of the vegetables received in the heat-retention case 32 is promoted.
