<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio signal processing device capable of easily controlling power supply to a signal processing part, and to provide a speaker device, an video display device and a control method. <P>SOLUTION: In an audio system, when a user carrying a communication device 20 moves to a communication range of the speaker device 10, the speaker device 10 and the communication device 20 are mutually connected by wireless communication, and a control part in the speaker device 10 controls power supply so as to supply power to an amplification part. When the user moves to the outside of the communication range of the speaker device 10 and wireless communication cannot be established, the control part in the speaker device 10 controls the power supply so as to stop the power supply to the amplification part.
