PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method suppressing filming of toner even in high-speed printing for a long time in a low-temperature and low-humidity environment and suppressing fogging and a charging failure even in a high-temperature and high-humidity environment. SOLUTION: Resin particles are included in a surface layer of a charged member, and projections derived from the resin particles are formed on the surface of the charged member. The ten-point average roughness Rzjis of the surface of the charged member is 2 to 30 μm, and the average spaces Sm of ruggedness of the surface of the charged member is 7-150 μm. Toner in use has fatty acid metal salt. A median diameter (D50) in the volume reference of the fatty acid metal salt is 0.15-1.00 μm, and the isolation rate of the fatty acid metal salt is 1.0-25.0%.
