摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve strength of a fiber-reinforced composite material with a three-dimensional shape by forming a wrinkle-free preform which is an intermediate product thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fiber-reinforced composite material is obtained by: a shaping step of shaping a fiber substrate 2 by closely contacting the same to a shaping mold 3 so as to form the preform 1 with a three-dimensional shape; a resin impregnation step of impregnating the preform with a molten resin; and a curing step of curing the molten resin. The fiber substrate 2 is a braid wherein a plurality of central cords 7 is coupled between braided cords 5 and 6 each made of a fiber bundle. The preform 1 has a curved folding line 10 and a plurality of component planes 20 connected to the folding line 10. The central cords 7 are disposed on the component planes 20. In the fiber substrate 2 comprising the braid, the braided cords 5 and 6 move in correspondence with the shape of the shaping mold 3, thereby providing the wrinkle-free preform 1.
