PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid-cooled jacket which can efficiently cool a heat release object such as a CPU, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In a jacket body 10, a first fluid flow passage 21 and a second fluid flow passage 22 through which a heat transport fluid flows are stacked and arranged with a partition portion 13 interposed along the thickness of the jacket body 10. The first fluid flow passage 21 is sectioned by a first recessed portion 11 and a first sealing body 31 of the jacket body 10, and the first sealing body 31 is joined to the jacket body 10 by moving a rotary tool T along an abutting portion 40 between an opening peripheral edge 14a of the first recessed portion 11 and a peripheral edge 31a of the first sealing body 31 to carry out frictional agitation. The second fluid flow passage 32 is sectioned by a second recessed portion 12 and a second sealing body 32 of the jacket body 10, and the second sealing body 32 is joined with the jacket body 10 by moving the rotary tool T along an abutting portion 40 between an opening peripheral edge 15a of the second recessed portion 12 and a peripheral edge 32a of the second sealing body 32 to carry out frictional agitation.
