The present invention relates to a grounding module in which a copper sheet is bonded onto an open cell metal foam rod or an open cell metal foam sheet. The grounding module of the present invention is advantageous in that an open cell metal foam with a maximized surface area serves as a grounding electrode for soil to quickly flow lightning or an abnormal current to the soil. Further, the grounding module of the present invention has a weight of approximately 10% of conventional grounding rods or grounding plates, thereby reducing costs in terms of saving resources, and enabling easy transportation for construction and easy installation.
