<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method for a threading winch for allowing a worker to perform threading work safely in a short time without applying excessive tensile force to a wire rope of the winch. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this operation method for the threading winch, a clutch is provided between a motor of the threading winch and a wire winding drum, the clutch acts to slide when winding tensile force exceeds the set tensile force, and the timing of start-stop of the threading winch is synchronized with the timing of line continuous inching.
