PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial connector and a method of manufacturing the coaxial connector of which a size can be reduced, while securing proper impedance characteristics. SOLUTION: In order to secure electrical connection between a shell of the coaxial connector and an external conductor 103 of a coaxial cable 100, the external conductor 103 and an internal insulator 102 covered by the external conductor of the coaxial cable 100 are not directly caulked by a gripping part formed on the shell of the coaxial connector, but rather, by having a conductive sleeve 105 for covering an outer surface 103a of the external conductor 103 caulk directly by the gripping part, the shell of the coaxial connector and the external conductor 103 of the coaxial cable 100 are electrically connected via the sleeve 105 without changing shapes of the external conductor 103 and the internal insulator 102.
