PURPOSE: A system and a method of auto lighting a used car is provided to turn on/off a lighting device according to a sensed value of external brightness by sensing the external brightness of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: In system and a method of auto lighting a used car, an auto light controller(100) controls a lighting device(400) according to the external brightness of the vehicles from the auto light sensor(200). The auto light sensor senses the external brightness of the vehicles. A rain sensor(300) detects the amount of rain.
