PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for processing a three-dimensional image in a portable terminal are provided to transmit, receive, or display the three-dimensional image through a simple algorithm in the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: Two image input devices(203-1,203-2) are separated at a certain interval for photographing the same object and outputting two image data. A CPU(200) encodes the two image data from the two image input devices(203-1,203-2) by a certain compression scheme, and packetizes the encoded image data. An RF(Radio Frequency) unit(209) converts the packetized image data from the CPU(200) into an RF signal, and transmits the RF signal.
