<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow control conversion device that performs flow control over both a LAN network and an ATM network. <P>SOLUTION: The flow control conversion device provided between the ATM network and LAN network includes: a desired transmission rate extracting means of extracting a transmission rate value from a resource management cell received from the ATM network; a pause calculating means of calculating a pause frame generation frequency or pause frame generation interval per unit time and a pause time from the transmission rate value; and a pause generating means of generating a pause frame according to the pause frame generation frequency or pause frame generation interval per unit time, and the pause time and then sending it out to the LAN network. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
