PURPOSE: A metal forming die which has a nitrogen hardening layer with excellent lubricant, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form a hybrid multi layer through deep-nitriding and lubricant-coating. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a metal forming die which has a nitrogen hardening layer with excellent lubricant is as follows. The surface of a material is washed and dried(S100). A nitrogenous compound layer is formed on the surface(S200). A porous compound layer is formed on the nitrogenous compound layer(S300). A lubricant is sprayed on the porous compound layer, or the material in which the porous compound layer is formed is immersed in the lubricant(S400). The lubricating film layer is hardened in 150°C to 400°C.
