<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door for a building which does not need a margin for sliding on a frame and which can be installed in a narrow frontage. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sliding door for the building is provided with a door 1, a door frame 2, hinges 3a, 3b, 3c, a hinge connecting member 7, and a slide guide member 8. The hinges are provided at the top on the door-tip side, at the top on the door-end side, and at the bottom on the door-end side. The hinges have arms 4a, 4b, 4c, rotary axes 5a, 5b, 5c on the door side, and rotary axes 6a, 6b, 6c on the frame side, and the hinge connecting member 7 connects between the rotary axes 6b, 6c on the frame side of the hinges 3b, 3c of the top on the door-end side and the bottom on the door-end side. The slide guide member 8 is connected to the rotary axes 5a, 5b on the door side of the hinges 3a, 3b of the top on the door-tip side and the top on the door-end side, and supports the door 1 in the width direction in a slidable manner. The rotary axis 5c on the door side of the hinge 3c of the bottom on the door-end side is engaged with a guide groove 9 provided in the width direction of the door 1.
