<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader which performs printing by a printing part arranged in front of an image sensor to read an image while conveying a document, which prevents a phenomenon that print content cannot be recognized when a separation feeding operation is repeated. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A warning is given when the following both modes are simultaneously set: a mode of printing using the printing part; and a mode of conveying a document in an opposite direction when a double feed is detected to separate the document again.
