When a base station device and a mobile station device communicate using a broadband frequency band comprising multiple carrier elements, communication can be efficiently accomplished without increasing the control data (control signal) transmitted from the base station device to the mobile station device. The base station device and mobile station device communicate by correlating each of multiple uplink carrier elements with respectively multiple downlink carrier elements or multiple downlink carrier element groups that contain multiple downlink carrier elements.
