<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the roll gap of rice hulling rolls appropriate when restarting rice hulling work by unhulled rice shortage cancellation after the rice hulling work is automatically stopped due to unhulled rice shortage, in a swing sorting plate type rice hulling and sorting machine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rice hulling and sorting machine is provided with a control means for automatically stopping the swing of a swing sorting plate (15) when detecting the shortage of unhulled rice to be hulled, closing the unhulled rice shutter (6a) of a rice hulling part (1) and automatically stopping the operation of a roll gap control means (41). When the unhulled rice shortage is canceled, the swing of the swing sorting plate (15) is restarted, the unhulled rice shutter (6a) of the rice hulling part (1) is opened, and the roll gap control of the rice hulling rolls (7, 7) is restarted after the prescribed time from the swing restart of the swing sorting plate (15).
