<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel for a spinning rod, whose body has a strongly formed integral structure without affected by the unevenness of the dimension, and can surely prevent the deterioration in the engaging performance and durability of gears received in the inside. Ž<P>SOLUTION: There is provided the reel for the spinning rod 10, wherein a gearbox G for receiving a wind-driving mechanism 22 for rotating a spool 20 to wind up a line is formed between the left side frame 14a and left side plate 16a of the reel body 12; the outer peripheral portion of the drive gear 22a of the wind-driving mechanism 22 is received in an expanded portion 44 formed by expanding the peripheral wall of the gear box G in the radially outer direction; and the first matching portion T1 where the left side frame 14a faces the left side plate 16a in the expanded side portion including the expanded portion 44, and the second matching portion T2 where the left side frame 14a faces the left side plate 16a on the radial direction-opposite side of the expanded portion 42 are arranged in the axial direction in a step-like state, characterized in that the left side frame 14a and the left side plate 16a are integrally fastened and fixed to each other with a plurality of screws 46 in one of the first matching portion T1 and the second matching portion T2.
