<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the collision accident of a vehicle with an ETC (electronic toll collection system) gate, by correctly notifying a user that settlement of an ETC is unavailable. <P>SOLUTION: An in-vehicle unit 10 having an ETC function and a DSRC (dedicated short-range communication) function is provided with: a card insertion part 2e for inserting either an ETC card capable of performing the settlement of an ETC, a DSRC card capable of performing the settlement of a DSRC, and a combination card capable of performing settlement of both the ETC card and the DSRC card; and a control part 3 for determining whether the ETC card and the combination card is inserted into the card insertion part 2e, and when judging that any card is not inserted, notifying a user that the settlement of the ETC is not available. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
