<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element with high-quality appearance capable of suppressing harmful light that is likely to cause flare or ghost images. <P>SOLUTION: In a section 2b of the optical element 1 where a light beam is effective, a fine concavo-convex structure 4 made of a material containing aluminum oxide is formed with a pitch shorter than the use wavelength in a visible light region or in an infrared light region as shown by a dashed line. A coating film 5 made of a resin containing a component opaque in the use wavelength is formed in a section 3 where a light beam is not effective, and a protective film 6 is formed on the coating film 5. The coating film 5 and the protective film 6 are approximately 1-100 μm in thickness. By providing this protection film 6, the elution of the effective component from the substantially opaque coating film 5 is prevented even in the heated water treatment in forming the fine concavo-convex structure 4, thereby achieving a high-quality and high-performance optical element excellent in appearance and having an excellent performance for preventing inner reflection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
