<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working apparatus which can perform such treatments as soldering, brazing, welding, fusing, heating and UV curing on a work to be treated with a high efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The working apparatus includes a stage to hold a plurality of work aligned in one direction in a designated interval, an optical source, a first shaping optical system to shape a beam from the optical source into a first optical beam having a designated transverse cross section, a second shaping optical system to shape the first optical beam into a plurality of second optical beams which are discretely arranged in an interval corresponding to the interval of the plurality of work, and a relative movement means which moves the first optical beam and the second shaping optical system relatively in the one direction.
