[Also in Division F1] A resilient mounting for a pair of ball or roller bearings 12, 14 comprises two annular members 16 and 18 which have inwardlyextending flanges 38, 40 and outwardly-extending resilient abutting flanges 20, 22 respectively. The flange 38 abuts the outer race of bearing 12 and a wave-washer 42 is positioned between the flange 40 and the outer race of bearing 14. The flanges 20, 22 are clamped between a wall 15 and a clamping-member 24 by means of screws 26. A spacer 30 is provided between the inner races and a combined spacer and lubricating ring 32 is positioned between the outer races of the bearings. Oil is supplied to the bearings via passages 35 and 36 in the wall 15, a space 37 between the flanges 20 and 22 and a T-shaped passage 34 in the ring 32. Rotation of the outer races is prevented by the means of a T-shaped key 44, the stem of which is clamped between the flanges 20 and 22 and the crosspiece of which is received in notches 46 and 48 formed in the outer races. A labyrinth seal 28 is provided adjacent the bearing 12 and a spacer 50 is located between the inner race of the bearing 14 and another bearing (not shown). |
