GERM CELL PLASTICITY AND GERMLINE TRANSMISSION IN AVIAN

摘要

PURPOSE: A method for preparing germline chimera and transformed avian is provided to enhance efficiency of germ cell-mediated avian germline transmission system using germ cells(PGC) or stem cells(EGC, SSC, or GSC). CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing avian germline chimera comprises: a step of preparing primordial germ cell(PGC) or embryonic germ cell(EGC) from a donor avian; a step of transplanting the PGC or EGC of the donor avian to a receptor testis; and a step of inducing spermatogenesis in the receptor avian to produce germline chimera avian individual.
