<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a movement of a load in an induction heating cooker. <P>SOLUTION: The induction heating cooker comprises an inverter means 14 for conducting a high-frequency current through a heating coil 5, a frequency setting means 9 for setting an operating frequency of the inverter means 14, and a phase difference detection means 11 for detecting an output of the frequency setting means 9 and a phase difference of an inverter current, and a control means 7 for making a power control, wherein it controls to set a target phase difference or a phase difference limit value, control the setting of the frequency setting means 9 to be the target value, and vary a power supply voltage to set it at a target power.
