PURPOSE: A planar inverted F antenna and a radio wave transmission and reception method thereof are provided to use an antenna as the monopole antenna or the planar inverted F antenna by controlling the connected state between an antenna body and a ground plane by a switch. CONSTITUTION: A ground plane(410) is made of a conductor and includes a finite plane. An antenna body(420) transmits and receive an electric wave. A feeding line(430) electrically interconnects the ground plane and the antenna body. A shorting pin(440) grounds the antenna body in the ground plane. The switch is connected to the shorting pin. The switch(450) controls the ground plane and the connected state of the antenna body. |
