PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a styrene resin extrusion foam that is excellent in flame retardancy and environmental compatibility. SOLUTION: The styrene resin extrusion foam is obtained by extrusion-foaming a styrene resin composition obtained by melt-kneading a styrene resin and a blowing agent, where the blowing agent comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of (a) an incombustible physical blowing agent and (b) a combustible physical blowing agent having a gas permeation coefficient through polystyrene of at least 5×10<SP>-11</SP>cm<SP>3</SP>×cm/(cm<SP>2</SP>×s×cmHg) and the styrene resin extrusion foam contains, as a flame-retardant, 0.5-3 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. of the polystyrene resin, of at least one selected from the group consisting of (i)-(iii) below: (i) tetrabromobisphenol A or a derivative thereof; (ii) brominated isocyanurate; and (iii) tetrabromocyclooctane.
