AN EEG-BASED REAL-TIME FUNCTIONAL CORTICAL CONNECTIVITY MONITORING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An EEG(Electroencephalogram) based real time functional cortical connectivity monitoring system is provided to monitor the functional connectivity between brain cortical regions in real time using a mathematical modeling. CONSTITUTION: An EEG detector(110) detects an EEG signal and includes a brain electrode. A position information detector(150) detects the position information about an anatomical boundary between the brain electrode and the cerebral cortex. The position information detector includes a digitizer. An operation processor(300) detects the connectivity between the cerebral cortices by operating the position information from the position information detector and the EEG signal from the EEG detector. A display unit(410) displays the output of the operation processor.
