A fastening apparatus fastens a magnesium component and a non-magnesium component using a fastener made of a non-magnesium material in which electrolytic corrosion of the magnesium component can be suppressed and the tightening effect of the fastener can be enhanced. An example fastening apparatus 70 includes a bolt 71 made of iron and having a shaft 71a and a head part 71b, a collar 73 made of an aluminum alloy for partially covering the periphery of the shaft 71a, and a washer 72 made of an aluminum alloy. The washer 72 is separate from the collar 73. The washer 72 can be prevented from rotating together with the bolt 71 when the bolt 71 is rotated.
