<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device of simple and high impact resistant structure, hardly affected by component accuracy, low in cost and having mass productivity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lens driving device 10 includes a case 11, a lens holder 13 stored in the case 11 holding a lens 12, and a driving means 14 stored in the case 11 suspendedly holding the lens holder 13 and reciprocating the lens holder longitudinally along the optical axis direction of the lens 12 in an energized time while having no positioning self-holding function in a non-energized time.
