<p>PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling a damper are provided to minimize a load applied to a fan by controlling a damper. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling a damper comprises an input part(100), a sensor(200), and a control part(300). The input part is installed in the rear end of a damper(600). A driving current set value of a fan motor is input to the input part. The fan motor powers a main fan which discharges exhaust gas from the damper to outside. The sensor senses driving current, and transfers the sensed driving current as a driving current measuring value. The control part controls operation of the damper based on the driving current measuring value. When the driving current measuring value is less than the driving current set value, the control part allows the damper to be successively opened.</p> |
