PURPOSE: A device and a method for oral hygiene having whitening and sterilizing effects are provided, which can enhance satisfaction of consumers by improving whiteness of teeth uniformly. CONSTITUTION: A device for oral hygiene having whitening and sterilizing effects comprises a head unit(17), a cleaning unit(16), and an optical induction unit(14). The head unit is made of transparent material. The cleaning unit is formed in one side of the head unit. The optical induction unit is detachably combined with the head unit and transfers the light to the head unit by surface-contact.
