A rubber composition for tires which comprises a rubber ingredient comprising at least either of natural rubber and epoxidized natural rubber, silica, and a natural wax, wherein the silica is contained in an amount of at least 10 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the rubber ingredient and the natural wax is contained in an amount of 1.2-2 mass%, excluding 2 mass%, based on the whole rubber composition. Also provided are a tread (2), a sidewall (3), a clinch (4), and a tire (1) each made with the composition. Furthermore provided is a rubber composition for use in forming a base tread (12b) of a tire (11), which comprises 100 parts by mass of a rubber ingredient comprising a diene rubber, 20-70 parts by mass of silica, and 2-15 parts by mass of a natural wax. The base tread (12b) and the tire (11) each formed with the rubber composition are furthermore provided. |
