PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily generate an image scale to stimulation.

SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for generating an image scale includes: a data obtaining part 101 which receives and takes in impression information obtained by questionnaires among respective chord progressions in a plurality of chord progressions and a necessary number of representative chord progressions as a representative obtained from the impression information; a first mapping processing part 104 which receives and takes in the results of questionnaire evaluation to a plurality of adjectives obtained with respect to the representative chord progressions, converts the results to a factor score in a necessary number of factors by a factor score calculation part 103 and calculates a coordinate value in the space of the image scale based on the necessary number of factors; and a second mapping processing part 105 which calculates a coordinate value on the space of the image scale with respect to each of the remaining chord progressions from the impression information with each representative chord progression with respect to each of the remaining chord progressions and the coordinate value of each representative chord progressions on the image scale.
