Even if a region of interest (ROI) is changed on a freeze image, an elastic image of the changed ROI can be displayed without any repeated measurement. Disclosed is an ultrasonic diagnosing device (1) comprising a control unit (110) having a first ROI setting unit (38) and a second ROI setting unit (39). An elastic information computing unit (32), when the ROI is set by the first ROI setting unit (38) of the control unit (110), computes the distortion, the elastic modulus and so on of tissues corresponding to the individual measurement points on the tomographic image of a region to be computed, by employing a region larger than the ROI as the operation region, to thereby produce elastic information based on the distortion, the elastic modulus and so on, and outputs the produced elastic information to an elastic information storage unit (33). In the freeze image display state, the control unit (110) causes the second ROI setting unit (39) to change the position and/or the size of the ROI. An elastic image constituting unit (34) reads out the elastic information corresponding to the changed ROI, from the elastic information storage unit (33), forms the elastic image of the changed ROI, and displays the elastic image on an image display (26). |
