PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engaging multi-row chain for lift driving capable of stably raising an article to be lifted to a higher position by adjusting the weight balance of the entire chain to improve the load balance of the weight of the article to be lifted in the chain lateral direction for improving the durability of the chain and reducing drive noise, and reducing the size of the chain, and of preventing intermediate gear plates and internal gear plates from being deviated in the chain lateral direction. SOLUTION: This engaging multi-row chain 100 for lift driving includes the internal gear plates 110, bushes 120, the intermediate gear plates 140, external gear plates 150, and connection pins 160. The internal gear plates 110, the intermediate gear plates 140, and the external gear plates 150 are respectively punched out by a die of the same shape from the same direction. At least one sheet of the internal gear plates 110, the intermediate gear plates 140, and the external gear plates 150 is connected to the remaining plates with the front and rear faces thereof inverted.
